Major Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all facets of the Men’s Basketball program, including, but not limited to:

• Recruits student athletes;

• Monitors academic progress of student athletes;

• Game-day preparation;

• Plans and conducts preseason practice and post-season sessions;

• Scouts opponents;

• Attends home and away events;

• Recording and submitting game stats;

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

This job requires any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education and/or experience as indicated below:

• Associate degree; bachelor’s degree preferred;

• Preferred candidate will have a background in basketball as a coach and/or athlete;

• Has an appreciation for Junior College athletics;

• Must demonstrate a sincere commitment to principles of academic and athletic integrity;

• Passion for the game of basketball and Junior College athletics;

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;

• Willing to drive eight- to 12-passenger vehicles to competition;

• Evening and weekend work is required
