SUNY Canton, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the North Atlantic Conference is accepting applications for an assistant coaching position. The individual will be involved in all aspects of the men’s basketball program, including assisting with recruitment and retention of student athletes, travel responsibly, practice and game preparation, promoting the program both on and off campus and complying with all NCAA rules and regulations. Individual should be available year-round with varied hours including nights and weekends. Part-time position with opportunity to make extra money.

Responsibilities:

• The recruitment of qualified student-athletes
• On-court instruction at practice and games
• Film breakdown and scouting opponents
• Program organization and academic advisement
• Social media and program promotion
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Job Qualifications:

• Playing or managerial experience at the college level
• Highly energetic and motivated individual who can build quality relationships with our student-athletes
• Strong organizational writing and computer skills
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Must possess valid driver’s license
