The University of Maine Augusta is seeking applicants for the position of  Assistant Basketball Coach for our Men’s program. The assistant coach will provide support to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in supervising practice and games, recruiting student athletes and transporting players and support staff to games. Additionally, the assistant coach will  provide assistance in monitoring the academic progress of student athletes, supporting their academic success by engaging them in weekly study halls during the season and facilitating referrals to other student support resources. It will be critical that the assistance coach help ensure compliance with all safety protocols, departmental policies and University policies. The successful candidate will maintain a flexible schedule that will include afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed.

The assistant coach position is a part-time, that will be paid a stipend of $1,000 for the season.
