Description:
The University of Nevada is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in developing, teaching, and promoting all aspects of a competitive Division IA men’s basketball program. The position is responsible for practice and game day coaching, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, counseling student-athletes regarding athletic, academic, and social issues, academic instruction and integrity, and program promotion and fundraising. The Assistant Coach oversees the handling of administrative details of the group and team coordinator such as travel, transportation, scheduling, and other logistics. The position acts as Head Coach in his/her absence and supervises lower level coaches as directed by the Head Coach. The individual acts as a representative of UNR to promote the University and ICA in a positive light within the community, the State of Nevada, and nation-wide by recruiting first-class student-athletes and by coaching and guiding them to the best of their abilities.
