Description:

Assist the head basketball coach in all areas of coaching a competitive Division I collegiate basketball program.
This position’s responsibilities could include, but not limited to:

  • Assisting the head basketball coach in all areas of coaching,
  • Assist strength coach for weight training and conditioning practices
  • Recruiting in US or Internationally
  • Game preparation,
  • Practice/game management,
  • Analyze game film,
  • Scouting opponents,
  • Academic supervision of student-athletes,
  • Monitoring of social media for student athletes,
  • Assisting with fundraising and community service,
  • Advising/mentoring as appropriate,.
  • Other organizational and administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.

Required Competencies:

  • Will use excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Will possess the ability to work with a diverse group of students, coaches, faculty, and staff
  • Will produce analytics of evaluated games
  • Must have a commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations
  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 4 season’s experience of playing college basketball in the US
  • Minimum of 3 seasons experience in balancing/managing an operating budget
  • Experience in Collegiate Coaching In US
  • Experience in international recruiting
  • Experience in implementing Player Development Programs
  • Experience organizing team travel (hotel and meals)
  • Experience organizing summer camps /coaching clinics
  • Experience in organizing social media accounts
  • Experience in overseeing Study Table sessions
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of a criminal records background check

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience using Fast Draw/Fast Scout software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Video Editing
