The assistant men’s basketball coach’s responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all duties involved in running a competitive NAIA basketball program.

The assistant men’s basketball coach will assist the head coach with all facets of running the men’s basketball program. Those responsibilities include but are not limited to:

On-site coaching at games and practices, including organization and implementation of daily practices. Prepare video breakdown and analysis, and present analysis to team members. Plan and prepare for games. Assist in coordinating the strength and conditioning program. Provide support and encouragement to student athletes, including academic counseling and advising. Monitor academic progress of athletes. Recruit and retain student-athletes. Build relationships with prospective student athletes and their families through email, phone, in person evaluation and one-on-one meetings. Assist in coordinating team travel. Perform additional duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

The assistant men’s basketball coach will be tasked with being the head coach of the men’s junior varsity basketball team. Those responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scheduling, organizing, and implementing practices and games. Plan and prepare for games. Provide support and encouragement to student athletes, including academic counseling and advising. Monitor academic progress of athletes. Recruit and retain student-athletes. Assist in coordinating junior varsity team travel. Perform additional duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
