Position Description:
Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This position will assist the head coach with the following duties: scheduling competitions and planning practices; implementing strength and conditioning programs, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining student athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience coaching Men’s Basketball.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree accomplished coaching background, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills; a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.
Compensation:
$32,000 – $34,000 annually and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
