Description: | Western New England University invites applications for a part-time Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball program. Anticipated start date is October 15, 2019. The University, a member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference and currently home to 20 varsity NCAA sports, is seeking the right person to assist with the growth and success of the Men’s Basketball Program. This person will report to the head coach and assist in leading all aspects of a NCAA Division III basketball program. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to interact effectively and appropriately with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, peers, community members, and administrators. Candidates must possess the skills to evaluate prospects, maintain and ensure student-athlete academic integrity, demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Western New England University and Division III and compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coaching, recruiting, and assisting student-athletes progress successfully towards graduation. Essential functions may include:
