| Description: | This position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in recruiting, training and coaching members of the Men?s Basketball Team. The Assistant Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Winston-Salem State University, the CIAA and the NCAA. Maintain knowledge of offensive and defensive coaching strategies. Assist with pre/post workouts. Ensure home games are uploaded to the approved site for scouting. Record statistics for each game. Responsibilities also include managing a traditional basketball camp and team camp. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a master?s degree and will be required to teach up to six (6) hours per semester. Have the ability to maintain accurate files on paper and in software programs. Ability to effectively guide students through related course of study. Must provide the hands-on active learning resources and motivation that promote student learning and success. Ability to comply with all academic procedural policies /duties (record keeping, grade submission, etc.)
