Description: York University is looking for a qualified Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This position works closely with the Head Coach in leading practice sessions, recruiting, day-to-day operations, scouting, game-planning and various other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree is Required
2. Master’s Preferred

Experience:

1. Playing experience/ or student assistant experience
2. High School or 1-3 Years intercollegiate coaching experience

Skills

1. Recruit, Coach and teach student athletes
2. Scout and Game Breakdown
3. Effective communication- orally, phone, in person, and in writing
4. Ability to use personal computer, social media, and office equipment to enhance relations, teaching, and instruction of student-athletes.
5. Establish and maintain relationships with department peers, respective head coach, and student-athletes
