Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
● Assist in the annual recruitment process of prospective student-athletes to
include:
o On-campus visits
o Off-campus in-home visits
o Off-campus evaluation events
o Regular telephone and email correspondence
● Assist Head Coach in all aspects of game preparation and strategy.
● Help to plan, execute and evaluate daily practices.
● Conduct regular individual and group workouts with players for skill
development.
● Help to develop and implement a strength and conditioning program.
● Break down film for individual highlights and statistical analysis.
● Correspond with college coaches to assist in placement of current players.
● Create frequent digital content for use on social media outlets.
● Support in administration of daily program needs to include, but not limited to:
o Daily player laundry
o Cleaning of court, storage spaces and locker room
o Wake-up/Lights Out duties in the barracks
o Driving busses to games/events
● Support the administration to ensure that players are following cadet regulations
and are in compliance with other policies of the Academy.
● Actively support the academic success of every player.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or President.
● Support the school and its leadership.
● This position will be required to live in provided on-campus housing to better
support Cadet needs and assist with barracks supervision.

● This position is a full-time, 10-month appointment.
● Salary range is $8,000-$10,000

Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor’s Degree
● Experience coaching or playing basketball at a post-high school level
● Valid driver’s license
● Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
● 4+ years of experience as a college basketball coach, player or administrator.
● Proficiency with Photoshop and/or other photo editing software, as well as
experience with video editing software.
● Experience recruiting for a national program.
● Willingness to Obtain a CDL (bus license) to transport players to and from away
games; the training and licensing will be paid for by Hargrave. An additional
stipend may be available for a CDL licensed driver.
