Description:

The National Basketball Academy (TNBA) is a professional basketball training and programming organization. We run year-round basketball programs including camps, clinics, leagues, teams, tournaments, and training. We are looking to grow with new coaches that have the same passion for the game as we do. We are in search of individuals who are knowledgeable and passionate about the game. In this role, you can inspire, connect, and provide a positive experience for children and families.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct, lead and execute year-round youth basketball programs across the state of Wisconsin
  • Bring energy and passion to every program and its participants
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with participants, families, and TNBA partners to help grow the TNBA brand
  • Maintain and update check-in reports
  • Travel to various camp and clinic locations across the state of Wisconsin
  • Locate and work with great facilities to execute training and programs
  • Build a book of business for year-round training clients
  • Coordinate with players and parents about sessions and workouts
  • Clearly communicate basketball skills to all various levels of participants with step-by-step instructions
  • Market and promote programs
  • Plan and execute program schedule with detailed information on drills and timing
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment at program host sites
  • Communicate and work with program coaching staff
  • Honor obligations and work schedule that is assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma (must have AA degree or higher for advancement in the company)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook as well as social media platforms
  • Passion for the game and teaching the game
  • Knowledge of current basketball rules, drills, and competitions
  • Prior playing/coaching experience
  • Experience coaching in camps, clinics, or teams is a plus
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and strong work ethic with team mentality
  • Reliable means of transportation and current valid driver’s license
  • Excellent speaking skills
  • Organized, self-motivated & detail orientated
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to situations quickly
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/some holidays, and daytime hours
  • Consent to background check
