Fastbreak Sport’s x Basketball Star is New York Cities leader in Youth Sports. We specialize in Basketball teams and training but offer multiple sport specific classes, teams, leagues, camps, and parties for children Ages 1 – 15. We are looking to hire a full-time Basketball Director. This is a self-starter position which requires an eager, driven, and ambitious person looking to be a part of a growth focused organization. The ideal candidate would have held a previous position in youth education, athletic director, camp director, sports programming director, or head coach. All candidates must be fully able to encompass both the on-court coach training / coaching as well as manage operation logistics.

The ideal candidate is based in New York City or local surrounding areas.

Team Coach / Instruction

Including but not limited to….

• Head Team/Lead Coach for Travel & AAU
• Ability to teach and correct the fundamentals
• Knowledge of basketball skills, strategies, techniques, and safe procedures
• Creating and successfully implementing curriculum
• Overseeing staff and making on-court corrections
• Implementing staff meetings and employee measurables
• Facility Maintenance and upkeep management
• Equipment and Storage Oversight
• On-Court Presence and Programming – Lead/Oversee (Weekday / Weekend Hours Required)

Administration/Operations & Logistics

Including but not limited to….

We are looking for a multifaceted employee who can successfully complete the following;

• Handle incoming calls, answer any questions, take messages and forward to correct party, create accounts, and registrations
• Aware of all company offerings, selling programs, answering all related questions and promote programs
• Email correspondence with customers
• Efficient use of our POS system
• Highly organized and detailed oriented
• Efficient use of time management
• Customer Service Savvy
• Extensive Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Program Growth and Planning
• Staff Management / Hiring & Training
• Program forecasting & planning
• Program Marketing
• Program Registration Seasonal Input
• Customer Relationship building
• Weekly Reporting to General Manager

Compensation Package

$50,000 per year salary
