Description:

The Basketball Resources Coordinator is responsible for working with the LA Clippers’ front office to assist in the organization, implementation, and execution of various basketball-related processes and projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage reports, tools, and ongoing deliverables across a range of planning focuses to ensure that these items are current and accurate.
  • Assist on various research projects to ensure timeliness, thoroughness, and completion.
  • Assist, support, and improve the people and processes in the management areas of:
  • Data and information presentation
  • Organization of information, materials, and systems
  • Daily operational administration and process development
  • Studies related to players, performance, teams, financials, trends, historical events, forecasting and implications
  • Innovate across all aspects of Basketball Operations
  • Collaborate effectively on team projects and work autonomously on individual work as appropriate
  • Execute other administrative tasks consistent with the policies and procedures of the NBA and LA Clippers
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work and communicate with people from all departments and at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organization skills with a robust attention to detail, particularly in regards to visual presentation of deliverables and reports
  • Proven respect for confidentiality
  • Extensive experience and skill with Microsoft Office 365
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
  • Must be able to work long hours on short notice, weekend, and nights as needed
  • Foundational knowledge of the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement, NBA team salary cap economics and strategies, and various league-wide team-related and player-related trends
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Proven strength in writing skills, including both formal and informal written communication
  • Experience in highly professional environments, including but not limited to NBA basketball operations
