Position Summary: 

Perkiomen School seeks a Boys Basketball Coach for the 2022-2023 school year. This coach works closely with the Director of Basketball Operations and is responsible for assisting with the national team and being the head coach of the prep team.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Work with the Athletic Director and Director of Basketball Operations in a highly competitive program at a dynamic, forward-thinking prep school that is able to compete at a high level while also embodying Perkiomen’s spirit of sportsmanship, integrity, dignity, respect in competition and excellence in the classroom.
• Assist in all aspects of the Boys Basketball program – on court skill development, film breakdown and scouting, practice planning, game management, transportation, and daily basketball operations.
• Recruit high character individuals to Perkiomen School that are mission appropriate student-athletes
• Assist in the placement of student-athletes to top colleges and universities that are the right fit.
• Writing advisor comments about students
• Serving the school’s residential and student life program one weeknight per week and one weekend per month
• Serving as an advisor to a select number of students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Collegiate playing experience and/or professional playing experience
• High school or collegiate coaching experience
• Desire to be actively engaged in the school community
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to support the residential life needs of a boarding school community
