Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball Camp is looking for camp coaches to help as instructors for our upcoming camps for Summer 2025! Candidates will help develop and instruct boys from grades 2^nd through 9^th.

Our day camps will be broken down into two different sections:

• Session #1: Monday, June 2^nd – Thursday, June 5^th (8:30 AM- 4:00 PM)
• Session #2: Monday, June 23^rd – Thursday June 26^th (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Both of these day camps are designed to not only help our campers understand the game of basketball but it’s also an opportunity to allow them to pursue an interest in team sports. These camps will focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game and encourage a love and appreciation for basketball and good sportsmanship. As an instructor, your job is to ensure that all campers have fun, stay safe, and leave learning the fundamentals of the game. As we continue to engrain ourselves in the Nashville community, these camps are an excellent way for us to connect with future Commodores!

Qualifications:

• Direct experience with youth camps
• Direct experience coaching or playing basketball.
• Ability to demonstrate various basketball skills & drills
• Committed to the personal growth of each camper in your group, ensuring they have a positive, enriching, fun and safe experience.
• Arrive for set up and begin camps on time and be able to work independently with no direct supervision.
• Communication through email/text/phone.
• Organized and efficient.
• Strong interpersonal skills and can work with both campers and parents
