Description:

Priority Sports & Entertainment is currently seeking a Manager to join our Coaches, Front Office and Broadcasters Division to assist with the day-to-day operations of the division and managing the administrative tasks to support the division’s agents. Additionally, the Manager will communicate directly with the division’s coaching and broadcasting clients, prepare interview prep/presentation materials, identify opportunities for career advancement, assist in contract negotiations, manage comprehensive contract databases, among other tasks. These responsibilities require impeccable attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to manage numerous tasks/projects at once, exemplary interpersonal and time-management skills, as well as a first-rate facility for writing and analysis. The position must be able to establish and build trusting relationships with existing and potential clients. This role will report to both the Vice President and President of the Coaches and Broadcasters Division but may receive tasks from all 4 of the division’s agents. The Manager will be given full autonomy in the management of 1-2 interns, who the Manager will supervise and delegate work to. The Manager will also serve as the primary liaison between the division’s agents, as well as with the rest of the company’s divisions and leadership.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare/improve presentation materials for coaching clients in NFL, NBA, CFB, CBB
    • Resumes, cover letters, interview books, information booklets on prospective positions.
  • Work with company management to maintain company database for division.
  • Work with CFO & accounting department to manage client billing and revenue tracking.
  • Oversight/management of department cohesiveness – center of communication & organization between all division’s agents (located in different parts of country).
  • Monitor current and prospective job openings.
  • Prepare research on prospective job opportunities for clients.
  • Maintain database of CFB/CBB coaching contracts through FOIA requests.
    • Prepare contract analyses to maintain current market on coaching positions.
  • Research projects.
  • Statistical analyses.
  • Seek opportunities for broadcasting clients.
  • Manage/delegate to division interns.
  • Other ad hoc projects, as directed by division leadership.
  • Manage/delegate/review interns’ work (as Manager deems fit), with the expectation that such work should be of a quality ready to send to clients/ADs/GMs/search firms/etc. by the time it is delivered to the applicable agent.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience/network in sports industry a bonus but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a bonus but not required.
    • If not, willingness to take ownership over learning these tools.
  • Strong math/excel proficiency for calculating billing/contract items.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently and discreetly with confidential information.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal communication and written skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Willingness to take ownership of duties/projects and follow through on all assignments.
  • Willingness to work/be available on nights, weekends, etc., especially during busy seasons (including some holidays) – always on call.
  • Prior knowledge of both professional and collegiate coaching landscapes a plus.
  • Long-term commitment to the position/company.

For that reason, those applying should have a strong passion for the business, be prepared/okay with time-intensive work periods, and a desire to learn and grow over the long term.
