Description:

Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations, the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations provides administrative and support services to the varsity men’s basketball program.

Duties and Responsibilities include;

*Serve as liaison with Success and Well Being staff on academic support matters for men’s basketball student-athletes
*Assist with the administrative aspect of recruiting, including acquiring admissions materials, inputting data, distributing mailings and acting as a liaison between men’s basketball and compliance for all official visits
*Coordinating ticket requests for all games
*Assist the Men’s Head Basketball Coach with summer programs, assisting in the development of all coach and player notebooks
*Supervise team managers and delegate responsibilities; – Assisting with all camps and clinics
*Attend all team functions (games, practices, meetings, alumni events, etc.)
*Assist in the coordination of all team and recruiting travel
*Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Ivy League Conference, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations and/or Code of Ethics; contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the Department; assuming other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education.

Minimum Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent required.
– 0 – 2 years related experience in basketball operations or related field, preferably at the collegiate level.
– Must demonstrate excellent writing and computer skills: ability to work in a fast paced environment; work flexible hours.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications

Successful background in intercollegiate athletics as a student-athlete, coach or administrator. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to work effectively with students, faculty, administrators, alumni and the public. Ability to work within the frame work of NCAA and Ivy League regulations.
