The Athletics department is seeking a Director of Basketball Operations-Men.  This position will:

• Assist in all coaching aspects permitted per NCAA rules during team/individual practices and competitions
• Assist in developing practice plans and program scheduling
• Oversee all coaching video production
• Oversee all software technology which includes applications like JumpForward, Game Breaker, Dropbox, Snyergy, etc.
• Oversee all Nutritional Supplies for locker rooms, pregame, postgame, occasional meals, and fueling station demands
• Direct areas of competitions; oversee pregame warm-up and track relevant game statistics
• Assist in recruitment of athletes who have demonstrated academic and athletic ability; oversee recruiting database; direct recruiting visits
• Serve as an instructor for HPER classes for the School of Education
• Participate in development activities; solicit funds, make presentations, organize and direct fund-raising events
• Oversee camp database and all marketing and direction of summer camps and clinics
• Academic coordination, study table, grade checks, class checks, composite class schedule
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned by head coach
• Coordinate team travel, shoot around times, schedule team meals
• Oversee development of game schedule

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (experience will be accepted in lieu of degree)
• One year playing, managing, or coaching experience preferably at the college level
• Knowledge of NCAA Division Rules desired
• Knowledge of fundamentals, techniques, and rules of basketball
• Ability to work within NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate with student-athlete, parents, coaches, media, faculty, staff, students and general public
• Ability to recruit under highly selective academic and athletic standards
• Ability to assess athletic skills and instruct athletes in techniques of basketball
• Ability to develop game strategies

Preferred:

• Division I experience
