Primary Responsibilities

• Assists the head coach and assistant coaches with all areas of the men’s basketball program including, but not limited to, equipment management, film exchange, team travel planning, game management, supervising student managers and academic oversight of student-athletes
• Performs administrative duties related to the men’s basketball program
• Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and the athletics program through community involvement
• Implements, promotes and coordinates all Southeast Missouri State University men’s basketball camps

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated successful basketball coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Experience as video coordinator including knowledge of Sportscode video editing system
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
