SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Director of Men’s Basketball Operations.  Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics, the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations assists with student-athlete development including helping players maintain a balance between student and athlete responsibilities; coordinates the team’s travel logistics; arranges various volunteer team service hours and community outreach opportunities; monitors players’ academic progress; and assists with organization of practices and player recruitment as needed.

The Director will also serve as sole coordinator and administrator for all youth camps and clinics hosted by SIUE men’s basketball.  These duties will require independent judgment in decisions regarding marketing strategies, brochure and ad design, event scheduling, and other various details.

As part of SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics, the selected candidate must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics and comply with all University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations and continually demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.

Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics in support of the program’s needs and goals.

Fully certified at the Division I level by the NCAA, SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, the SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-American Conference (MAC) (men’s soccer and wrestling).  SIUE currently is ranked first among Illinois state public universities and in the top 20 nationwide in graduating student-athletes, according to a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report released by the NCAA and Fall 2018 marked the 25^th consecutive semester all student-athletes have earned a cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA.
