Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics, the Assistant Coach – Director of Men’s Basketball Operations assists with organization of practices, player recruitment, team travel, fund raising, monitoring academics, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.

The Assistant Coach – Director of Men’s Basketball Operations will also serve as sole coordinator and administrator for all camps and clinics, requiring independent judgment in decisions regarding marketing strategies, design, scheduling, etc. He or she must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics and comply with all University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Other duties include working cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel; supporting the student-athlete concept; and demonstrating concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.

The Assistant Coach – Director of Men’s Basketball Operations may be assigned other related duties as assigned in support of the department’s mission and goals.

Fully certified at the Division I level by the NCAA, SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Conference (men’s soccer) and the Southern Conference (wrestling).
