Alabama State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications to fill the position, Director of Operations for Men’s Basketball.  The successful candidate will assists with the organization and supervision of all logistical aspects of the men’s basketball team within the parameters designated by the university, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), assist the head coach in all aspects of the operation of the men’s basketball program to include travel arrangements,  scheduling, budget control, championship arrangement, and video coordination.  The Director of Operations will also assist with program development, organization and the administration of a successful Division I men’s basketball program by supporting the mission of the University, the athletic program in ensuring successful graduation of student-athletes, enforcing all policies and procedure of the department and University, as well as the rules, and regulations of the SWAC and the NCAA. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree,  at least 2 years of experience in athletics operations, have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, effective written and verbal communications skills, strong leadership skills, a demonstrated record of inspiring, developing, and motivating student-athletes academically and athletically, with a proven record of integrity and high standards required.
