Description:

The Athletics Department is seeking to hire a skilled and talented Director of Operations, Men’s Basketball.  Under the direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Operations will be responsible for all logistical, operational, and administrative aspects of the Men’s Basketball Program. The scope of responsibility duties will include but not limited to,

  • Work with the Sports Information staff to ensure team bio’s are accurate, generate publicity and produce quality publications. Work with ticket staff to generate interest in attendance to events.
  • Work with the Marketing staff to increase exposure for the Men’s Basketball Program through special events, community relations, sponsorship, scheduling team for community services activities.
  • Will manage the ordering of all staff and team uniform and supplies, negotiate contracts with vendors. Serve as liaison for head coach and assistant coaches.
  • Manage all team, Head Coach and Assistant Coaches travel, including arrangements for lodging, airlines buses, car rentals; developing itineraries for all away competition, and determining a budget for the season.
  • Will manage and maintain records of expenses for the Men’s Basketball Program.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year or related experience. Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures.
