Description:
This position is a non-coaching administrative position that works with the head coach on a daily basis and oversees the operations of all aspects of the men’s basketball program, including but not limited to: travel, meals, equipment, apparel, summer camps, purchasing, and day-to-day operations of the office; serves as the men’s basketball liaison with senior administration, athletics marketing, community service events, and on campus departments; coordinate staff recruiting; other duties as assigned by the head coach. This position will oversee fundraising, alumni relations and community outreach for the Men’s Basketball program. This position will require extensive travel and irregular office hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Knowledge of the sport of collegiate basketball, as demonstrated by collegiate basketball playing experience and/or past coaching experience is required.
  • Two years of experience in intercollegiate athletics and an additional two years with an intercollegiate basketball program.
  • Three to five years of related administrative and program experience.
  • Highly proficient in the use of internet and computer software applications (MS Office or equivalent).
  • Experience in dealing with large volume travel practices and policies.
  • Familiar with basic NCAA rules.
  • Knowledgeable with computers and troubleshooting solutions.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a diverse environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
