The Director of Basketball Operations will assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the development and implementation of a nationally competitive NCAA Division 1 intercollegiate men’s basketball program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assist with the day-to-day operations of the basketball program; oversee the basketball program’s budget and monitor expenditures; coordinate team travel and logistics; assist with the scheduling of practices and games; coordinate the use of facilities; oversee student managers; manage all tickets for games; assist with the academic development of student-athletes, recruiting operations; alumni relations and community outreach programs; work cooperatively with other University departments in a complex administrative environment using sound judgement to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion; prioritize assignments to complete tasks in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines, completing requirements and workload; and perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of three (3) years of collegiate experience within the sport of basketball is required. Must possess strong administrative and organization skills to manage assignments, personnel, equipment, and material resources. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and oral, to interact effectively with internal and external constituents (coaches, staff, student-athletes, recruits, donors, fans, etc.). Must possess the ability to make decisions within prescribed scope of authority, based on knowledge of policies and procedures with the NCAA, Big Ten Conference, State and University. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced collegiate environment.

Four (4) to five (5) years of experience within the sport of basketball at the NCAA Division 1 level preferred. Experience at a Power 5-level institution preferred.
