Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach the individual in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Coordination of team travel, student-athlete housing, and team community service activities.
• Serving as team academic liaison, working with Student Development in monitoring and follow up, as it relates to all academic areas such as missed class reports, study hall, academic progress, etc.
• Serving as academic coach to assigned student-athletes.
• Serving as team compliance liaison, working with ECU NCAA compliance staff.
• Serving as team liaison to athletics media relations, sports medicine, marketing, and other department units as directed by the head coach.
• Coordinating student-athlete tickets requests, working with the Athletics Ticket Office for both home and away games.
• Coordinating with visiting teams shoot around times and other items as needed.
• Coordinating scholarship, financial aid, NCAA special assistance fund processes and data to ensure appropriate student-athlete support and service.
• Coordinating ordering and use of footwear and equipment in accordance with footwear and apparel contracts and university/department purchasing procedures.
• Monitoring men’s basketball budget and purchasing by working with Head Basketball Coach to maintain proper fiscal accountability.
• Coordinating special activities such as Senior Night, Coaches vs. Cancer, etc.
• Coordination, development, and distribution of player handbooks, , occasional meals implementation, and practice logs for NCAA compliance.
• Hiring, supervision, training, and mentoring all of the Men’s Basketball managers.
• Assisting the head coach with Human Resources paperwork submissions by working with athletics HR unit.
• Abiding by all policies, procedures and guidelines of ECU, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.
• Building quality relationships and working collaboratively with Athletics, Pirate Club, and University staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.
• Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.
