Description: | Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Player Development will carry out all duties within the stated philosophy of Georgetown athletics and its educational mission, and will adhere to all institutional, Big East, and NCAA regulation to ensure the University’s compliance. The primary purpose of this position is to provide general and sport specific support to the coaching staff of the men’s basketball program, including but limited to, the development, oversight, and implementation of programs to support student athletes in the Georgetown men’s basketball program. A wide variety of administrative assignments and basketball specific assignments will be completed on an as needed basis as well. This position is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in the overall development of the men’s basketball program, including directly assisting the coaching staff with the preparation, strategy and organization of information related to recruiting activities as well as involvement in on-campus recruiting activity and recruiting correspondence. Individual will assist in recruiting strategy, correspondence and coordination on campus recruiting efforts and campus and facility tours. Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The Head Men’s Basketball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics. This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications Practical Experience (years needed and type required): 3-5 years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified, preferably at college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
