This position is a key individual contributor responsible for scouting and recruiting efforts for the Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball program.

• Oversee scouting and recruiting efforts for the men’s basketball program
• Develop, implement and oversee social media and graphics recruiting campaign
  • Work with graphic designer & video coordinator to develop and implement social media and graphics campaigns
  • Monitor, Maintain and Post to Social Media Websites for coaching staff
  • Work in conjunction with the Vanderbilt Athletics compliance office on the ever-changing rules on social media presence by athletic programs set forth by the NCAA and ensure those rules and regulations are followed
• Work in conjunction with the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches to create an effective communication plan for all prospects annually
• Develop, maintain and organize prospect lists, keeping Coaching Staff updated on the forecast of future recruiting classes
• Coordinate compilation of high school game film & statistics of recruiting prospects
• Create, organize and compile recruiting materials
• Plan and oversee execution of all official and unofficial visits.
• Represent the men’s basketball program and Vanderbilt Athletic Department in a professional manner at all times
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach
• Comply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is necessary .
• A Master’s degree is preferred .
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience is necessary .
• Prior basketball experience is necessary .
• High level of organizational skills are necessary .
• Excellent communication skills are necessary .
