Description: | The Director of Sports Performance for Men’s Basketball serves as the primary sports performance coach to men’s basketball student-athletes in addition to another varsity athletic program. The primary function of this position is the management of athletic performance preparation including, but not limited to, the application of appropriate motivational techniques, implementation of evidence-based training methods, and safe and correct execution of the following training parameters: power development, plyometric and agility training, energy system development and sport specific movement training. Having a dual report to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Associate AD for Sport Performance, this position will design athletic enhancement programs with an emphasis on individual as well as team specific needs and report on progress. The individual serving in this position will provide support to the Associate AD for Sport Performance and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Qualifications
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
2-5 years of experience with Men’s Basketball at the collegiate or professional level.
