Description:

This position is responsible for the organization, supervision and direction of the Athletic Department’s Strength and Conditioning Program for Men’s Basketball and Women’s Lacrosse.

What your key responsibilities will be:

  • Direct all aspects of speed, strength, conditioning, and agility for men’s basketball.This position is expected to travel with the men’s basketball team during all competitions.
  • Direct all aspects of speed, strength, conditioning, and agility for women’s lacrosse.
  • Collaborate with Sports Medicine on injury prevention and return to participation plans for injured men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse student athletes. Collaborate with Sports Nutrition on assessments and nutrition plan implementation for men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse student athletes.
  • Participate in all on-campus recruiting visits and team-building activities, as requested by head coaches of men’s basketball and lacrosse.
  • Assist in development and implementation of High Performance Strategic Plan.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference and departmental rules and regulations. Responsible for the observance of such rules by his/her staff and student-athletes. Embrace the spirit of gender equality in use of weight room facilities for both men and women athletes.

Qualifications

What we require:

  • Bachelor Degree in Physiology or Exercise Science or related field
  • 3 years experience working with Division I men’s basketball.
  • Hold 2 of the following 3 professional certifications: CSCS, USAW Level I, FMS Level I, or SCCC(CSCCa)

What we’d like you to have:

  • 1 year experience with a Division I women’s lacrosse program
  • Master’s Degree in the field of Exercise Science or related field
