Description:

The Men’s Basketball Director of Player Development/ Summer Camp Program Coach is one of the positions responsible for administering all of the year-round activities of the men’s basketball program.

Knowledge of basketball terminology and athletic specific information such as basketball positions, plays, evaluation methods, techniques and strategies used by the coaches.

Professional Knowledge: Understand program, mission, organization and culture of a Division 1 Basketball program and the importance of compliance with all University, Department of Athletics, NCAA and NABC rules and regulations as they govern the duties of the position. Technical knowledge and skill in the use of state of the art video technology and equipment; ability to use specific equipment necessary to meet defined quality and quantity standards as required by the coaching staff.

Communication Public Relations skills: Work involves both internal and external communication efforts that include obtaining opponents game film and material; initiating, developing, and maintaining working relationships with individuals from other college and university organizations. Ability to convey information orally to individuals and groups to ensure they understand, and the ability to listen and respond appropriately to information from coaching.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred.
