Description:

The Director of Player Development serves under the direction of the head coach to support the men’s basketball program. The Director will be responsible for player mentorship and development, coordinate player housing, financial aid, team and training table meals, team tickets and other team related logistics. The Director will also serve as the liaison to various campus support services such as academics, business services and admissions. The Director will also assist with camp, team travel and opponent scouting and game charting. All UD Athletics staff members are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Atlantic 10 Conference.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experienced as a men’s basketball player at the collegiate or professional level,
Demonstrated ability to relate to and interact with players as a mentor and adviser, Demonstrated history of professional leadership and integrity,
Possess a valid driver’s license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university.


Preferred Qualifications:
Four years of experience as a collegiate men’s basketball player,
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders,
Able to demonstrate good organizational skills.
