Description:

The Director of Program Administration for Men’s Basketball is responsible for managing all administrative and operational aspects of the Men’s Basketball Program.

• Coordinate travel arrangements for the team and recruiting prospects coming to campus.
• Working with the Equipment Manager, oversee all equipment and supply purchases and monitor execution of the Nike contract
• Represent the Men’s Basketball Program at University sponsored activities as requested by the Head Coach or Athletic Director
• Coordinate the life skills, career development and community service components of the program with respective departments or personnel
• Working with the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, monitor basketball facilities and keep senior administration informed regarding maintenance issues
• Support the Head Coach and Athletics Director in managing scheduling priorities by researching and reporting options and logistics
• Serve as liaison with the Senior Athletic Director for Business Affairs in strategic planning and budgeting for the Men’s Basketball Program Working with strength and conditioning coaches and the nutrition consultant, facilitate team meals on campus and while the team is traveling.
• Coordinate video and analytics resources to facilitate coach and team use of the same
• Work closely with Athletics communications and marketing on social media activity
• Directly support recruitment efforts with administrative and logistical tasks as assigned
• Supervise graduate assistants, student managers interns and student workers

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ work experience in a Division I, II, or III college basketball program
• Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent computing skills for communication and reporting
• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to NCAA and member conference rules and regulations
• Valid driver’s license and successful clearance of motor vehicle record check
• Understanding of commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University
• Successful background check clearance under Saint Joseph’s “Minors on Campus Policy” (PA Criminal Records Check, FBI fingerprinting check and PA Child Abuse Check).
