Description:

The position leads the planning, development, and implementation of a video and scouting analysis program to support game preparation and individual player development for men’s basketball. The position utilizes basketball and technical experience to maximize the value of video and statistical analysis for student-athletes and coaches. Additionally, the position will develop creative social media video content to support program operations and recruiting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate analyses of statistics related to game performance including Marquette offense proficiency, Marquette defense proficiency, opponent offense and defense proficiency, player personnel proficiency and opponents’ analytics.
  2. Oversee video functions for men’s basketball (practice recording and breakdowns, game recordings and break-down) player development, game plan production and promotion of program.
  3. Create materials related to recruiting prospective student-athletes to be used for mailings, in-home visits, and on-campus visits.
  4. Create materials to be used on social media to promote program.
  5. Assist with information needed for developing game plans throughout the season.
  6. Organize and analyze practice statistics to be utilized by coaching staff to evaluate player and practice proficiency and development.
  7. Analyze in-game statistics throughout season to provide information to coaching staff.
  8. Statistical analysis post-game to be utilized by coaching staff.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree required.

Prior video analysis experience required.

At least 2 years of previous experience working in a college basketball setting preferred (Division I preferred)
Individual in this position must have strong working knowledge of film editing technology and statistical analysis techniques and software.

Strong communication skills.

Strong working knowledge of technology related to video analysis.

Strong working knowledge of technology, especially as it relates to statistical analyses.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
