Mt Zion Prep is seeking applicants for the position of Full-Time Basketball Intern for the 2022-2023 school year. Mt Zion Prep is a private prep academy for high school and post-graduate student athletes located in Lanham MD.

This position will assist the Mt Zion Prep staff with duties including but not limited to:

• Basketball Operations
• On Court Coaching Responsibilities
• Video Recording and Coordination of video exchange
• Administrative Duties assigned by the basketball staff.
• Recruitment of student athletes
• Social Media (Instagram and Twitter)
• Statistician (Game by Game stats)
• Supervisor of housing (Dorm)

Minimum Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 3 years’ experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A strong public service orientation to work well with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License (Will be required to drive)

Summary:

This is an entry-level position where the ideal candidate will gain the experience needed to further their career in sports with a vast exposure to college coaches of all levels. The chosen candidates will assist with all aspects of our program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to on floor coaching, player development, recruiting, monitoring academics, housing supervision, transportation and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
