Gardner-Webb University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Graduate  Assistant for Men’s Basketball. This position provides valuable experience for candidates  interested in pursuing a career in coaching. Former GA’s have landed jobs at D1, D2,  D3, NAIA, & JUCO levels in the last 5 years. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with individual workouts.
• Assist with some phases of recruiting.
• Setting up practice.
• Track, compile, and log practice statistics.
• Aid in travel operations.
• Assist with camps, fundraising, and other promotional activities. • Coach & lead the Developmental Team.
• Assist assistant coaches with scouting responsibilities.
• Assist the DOBO with office and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and enrolled full-time in a master’s degree program at Gardner-Webb  University.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students, and staff.

Self-motivated, flexible and ability to work independently as well as in teams. Position requires evening and/or weekend hours.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Attention to accuracy and detail.

Organizational and time management skills.
