Centenary College, located in Hackettstown, New Jersey is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This is a part-time position offering graduate classes with the opportunity for additional salary through successful summer basketball camp program. Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Coordinate recruiting efforts (evaluation, communication, on-campus visits, etc.)
• Assisting head coach in practice and game preparation and coaching
• Monitor academic progress of student/athletes
• Coordinate travel arrangements
• Coordinate film exchange program
• Coordinate fundraising efforts for program
• Assist in scheduling and supervision of work-study staff
• Coordinate equipment inventory
• Assistant Director of summer basketball camp (promotion, budgeting, hiring of additional staff, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• One (1) to three (3) years of coaching experience or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA Division III, Colonial States Athletic Conference, and Centenary College rules and regulations
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Commitment to full academic and athletic development of student/athletes
