The Missouri Valley College Men’s Basketball Program is seeking an energetic professional for the position of Men’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, aspiring college basketball coach to join an NAIA Championship Caliber Men’s Basketball Program. The Men’s Basketball Graduate Assistant will report to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with administrative duties in all phases of the program.  
• Assist with all phases of competitive NAIA compliant recruiting.  
• Practice Preparation, including but not limited to gym set-up/tear down, recruiting and management of Student-Assistant Staff, evaluation of practice video, practice and game planning sessions, etc.

• Assist with the direction of camps, fundraising, and other program development activities.
• Assist with arranging aspects of team travel including but not limited to team meals for home and away contests, travel logistics and team lodging arrangements.  
• Assist the Head Coach with office and administrative duties. 
• Ability to coach, develop and lead the program’s Varsity Reserve Team.  
• Assist and lead Player Development Activities.
• Recruiting athletically and academically quailed students.  
• Retaining students in the program.  
• Understanding the culture of the Men’s Basketball program, athletic department and the campus.  
• Understanding the NAIA eligibility rules. 
• Operate university vehicles. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree Required 
• Be enrolled full-time in a master’s degree program at Missouri Valley College and eligible for participation in the Graduate Assistant program (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better preferred).  
• Willing to work late/flexible hours.  
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.  
• Ability to work with others and lead.
