Description:

Northwest Nazarene University is accepting applications for the position of Graduate  Assistant in the Men’s Basketball program.  

This 24-month, part-time position reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.  Essential Functions:  

  • Perform 12-15 hours per week and other related duties as assigned by the  undergraduate Admissions Team  
  • Assist in organizing and operating youth camps  
  • Overseeing student assistants and their responsibilities  
  • Assisting coaches with scouting, breaking down film using Synergy  Assist in individual workouts and support staff in any related practice duties  throughout the year  
  • Keep inventory and organize all gear and equipment, including communicating with  Nike Rep  
  • Meal coordination during travel and while in town  
  • As assigned by the coaching staff, recruit prospective student-athletes    

Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Preferred candidates will have collegiate playing experience at a four-year college  or university, or multiple years of experience serving as a student manager for a  men’s or women’s basketball program 
  • Self-motivated professional with a strong commitment to the University, excellent  organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced  environment, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, think critically, and  communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, personalities,  and perspectives

  • Admission as a full-time student in any graduate program at NNU, effective Fall  2026

Compensation:  

  • Full tuition for two-year graduate-level classes  
  • $3,000 stipend  
  • 9 month on-campus meal plan (while school is in session)
