Southern Nazarene University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the SNU Men’s Basketball Program. The University is a member of the NCAA II Great American Conference. The successful candidate will have mature, growing relationship with Christ and collegiate coaching/playing experience.  Applicants must be willing to lead our JV program if applicable and assist as a member of the varsity coaching staff in all areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Head Coach in providing leadership for the SNU Men’s Basketball Program. 
• Play an integral role in the day-to-day administrative responsibilities, player/team spiritual development, daily team training, evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, academic monitoring, and skill development of players.
• This position must work within SNU, GAC and NCAA guidelines to provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships.

Supervision Received:

Receives supervision and work assignments from the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.

Supervision Exercised:

May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
