The University of Dallas, located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Irving, TX, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant for the Men’s basketball Program.  The University of Dallas is a Catholic liberal arts university known for its elite academics. 

The position will report to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and is renewable for two consecutive years.  The second year appointment is contingent upon successful completion of duties and good academic standing at the university.

Responsibilities:

– Assist with all aspects of recruiting including: scouting, communication, and planning visits.

– Assist with planning and implementing of practices, scouting, video analysis, equipment, and academic monitoring.

– Manage team social media accounts.

– Other administrative duties as assigned within the athletic department including, but not limited to, some game management duties of other sports as needed.

Qualifications:

– Acceptance into a graduate program at the University of Dallas.

– Candidates must have a working knowledge of NCAA Division III/SCAC rules and compliance.

– Valid driver’s license and must pass criminal background check.

– Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

– Prior collegiate coaching, playing, or managing experience preferred.
