University of Miami Men’s basketball is looking for a talented and motivated individual to fill a Graduate Manager position. The responsibility of the Graduate Manager for University of Miami Men’s Basketball is to assist the Head Coach and his staff in all aspects of administration, basketball, and day-to-day tasks involving the men’s basketball program. Candidates should possess a high work ethic and an enthusiasm for working with student-athletes. Former
University of Miami Graduate Managers have gone on to work for the Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, Maine Red Claws, Capital City Go-Go, Salt Lake City Stars, University of Miami, Stony Brook University, Bowling Green State University, Furman University, Auburn University, USA Basketball, and more. Stipend is provided and details will be discussed among further contact with the applicant.
Responsibilities/Duties:
– Assist in administrative duties
– Assist in coordination of team travel
– Travel to all away games with team
– Check classes and meetings as assigned
– On Court assistance during workouts/practices/individual workouts
– Assist video coordinator in film related activities (Breakdown film, special projects, etc.)
– Assist in game preparation and scouting
– Use advanced analytics to help develop scouting reports, individual student-athlete growth plans, and other statistics-based projects
– Coordinate and assist student managers
– Assist with youth camps
Job Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree
– Ability to work in fast-paced environment
– Organizational skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Prior involvement in collegiate basketball is preferred
– Skilled in Microsoft Office
– Basic understanding of Sportscode/Synergy/FastModel is preferred
– Background and understanding of statistics and advanced analytics for basketball is preferred
– Positive, upbeat energy and attitude
– Willingness to tackle any task related to progress of the team, student athletes, and institution
Required Qualifications
– Must be admitted into a graduate program at University of Miami and be a full-time
graduate student.
