Description:

Delaware County Community College, a two-year college located in Media, PA, is seeking a head coach to oversee its Men’s Basketball program.  Delaware County Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in Region XIX in the NJCAA.

The Head Coach is responsible for planning, programming, directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions of the Men’s Basketball individual sports program. The Head Coach must work closely with all others involved in the EPAC, Region XIX and the College in carrying out the mission and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program. The Head Coach reports directly to the Director of Wellness, Athletics & Recreation.

Duties:

The Men’s Basketball Head Coach is a part-time, contracted position with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Recruitment of student-athletes for the program
  • Attend mandatory conference coaches’ meetings
  • Work within the budget provided to the program
  • Practice and competition management
  • Academic oversight of Men’s Basketball student-athletes
  • Attend high school or other prep competition for recruiting purposes
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Wellness, Athletics & Recreation
