The West Virginia Gold Boys program competes on the PRO16/NXT circuit and is an Official Grassroots partner of Puma Hoops. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the best talent in the Tri-State area and compete on a national level. Additionally, prospective candidates will work alongside experienced coaches who have coached and/or played at the collegiate/professional level. WV Gold is based out of Morgantown, WV; however candidates do not need to be located in the area. We are looking for a head coach and assistant coach for one of our teams within 15U-17U.

Compensation: Stipend and all food/travel expenses

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility for bringing his/her staff and team to the event physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared for competition.

• Maintains self-control and exhibits sportsmanship in relations with staff, players, officials, opponents, and spectators during competitive events.

• Uses all possible ethical means of motivation, emphasizes means of motivation and values of competitive athletics, acceptable personal behavior, decision making, and lasting values to the individual.

• Supervises players during trips

• Aids in the collegiate recruitment of WV Gold athletes

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• USA Basketball Certification (can be obtained upon hire)
• Be able to travel nationally (expenses covered)

Minimum qualifications

• Previous high school coaching and/or collegiate playing/coaching experience required.
