The Head Coach for Men’s Basketball is responsible for managing an intercollegiate basketball program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The Head Coach of Men’s Basketball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Central Wyoming College and the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist student-athletes going through eligibility requirements/compliance paperwork.
2. Teach sport skills, condition and motivate student-athletes to positive action and utilize effective strategies to produce a successful student experience.
3. Monitor student-athlete attendance, academic progress and graduation.
4. Oversee and monitor the conduct of the student-athletes and under the direction of the Athletic Director/Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, oversee discipline of student athletes if necessary.
5. Monitor recruitment needs, recruit a sufficient number of new student-athletes annually, retain current student-athletes and provide monthly reports to the Athletic Director.
6. Plan, prepare and administer practices plans and competition strategy plans.
7. Create and organize off-season, in-season and post-season plans and provide weekly reports to the Athletic Director.
8. Work with the Athletic Director to arrange team schedules, including travel to games and practice.
9. Work with the Athletic Director to ensure game-day operations are in place, including officials, venue and trainers.
10. Maintain regular offices hours on campus.
11. Performs other reasonably related duties as directed or as needed.
