DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for year-long recruiting of student-athletes and full management of the men’s basketball program.
• Responsible for educating the whole student-athlete: spiritually, academically and athletically.
• Responsible for driving team van to practice daily and all away games.
• Develop a written philosophy statement and conduct a preseason meeting with players to discuss acceptable player code of conduct, team procedures and other guidelines that relate to program management.
• Determine the system of play. Establish goals and objectives.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all NCCAA and ACCA Athletic Policies and be responsible for their implementation.
• Responsible for practice and game preparation.
• Must conduct oneself as a positive role model.
• Consult with the Director of Athletics in matters of purchasing equipment, scheduling, and coaching assignments.
• Work to develop positive athlete-teacher relationship. Initiate during the season grade check, conduct athletic study table, if necessary.
• Require appropriate behavior on road trips by supervising students in motels and restaurants.
• Promote and encourage fair play, good sportsmanship, and ethical standards of conduct both on and off the field.
• Work with the media to develop a positive relationship.

REQUIREMENTS: 
Bachelor’s Degree
Previous coaching experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Must be a follower of Jesus Christ
