QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in coaching basketball required
  • Prior experience in coaching basketball in intercollegiate setting preferred
  • Collegiate experience as a player preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the sport
  • Ability to represent the College in a professional manner at all times
  • Commitment to the teaching-learning process of the two-year

    community college and the open-door admissions process

DUTIES:

  • Coach intercollegiate athletic team under the supervision of the Athletic Director.
  • Recruit quality student-athletes.
  • Conduct academic follow-up activities for student athletes.
  • Maintain records and submit reports as required.
  • Conduct fund raising activities as needed.
  • Supervise the assistant coach.
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with ACCC and NJCAA rules and regulations.
  • Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System and the College.
  • Serve on College and System Committees as approved by Athletic Director.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the College mission.
