The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Jacksonville State University is expected to represent the men’s basketball program in a professional manner and will be primarily responsible for recruiting, training, and coaching members of the men’s basketball program.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinating the marketing of the men’s basketball program
• Generating additional funds for support of the program
• Work with the Athletic Director to formulate a budget
• Work with the Athletic Director to schedule future games
• Commitment to academic achievements of student-athletes
• Commitment to athletic achievements of student-athletes
• Ensure program integrity by adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures as set forth by the Jacksonville State University Athletics Department, Conference, and NCAA

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is considered an advantage
• Experience as a collegiate men’s basketball coach
• A proven/winning record as a coach
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong administrative skills
