This position coordinates a highly competitive Division I men’s basketball team. Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching student-athletes, organizing and conducting practices and competitions, and administering and promoting all phases of the Men’s Basketball Program. Ensures compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Sun and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the area of Men’s Basketball.
Ability to organize and administer all phases of a NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program. Ability to evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes to Kennesaw State University whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the Atlantic Sun and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation from Kennesaw State University. Must be able to comprehend and adhere to NCAA, Atlantic Sun and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of Men’s Basketball. Must have previous experience in hiring, supervising and evaluating coaches and staff, the ability to manage a budget, participate and support public relations, fundraising and promotional activities, possess good organizational skills, oversee conditioning programs for the men’s basketball student-athletes and a willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator and/or Director of Athletics.
